| The town of Avellino is situated to the center of a basin surrounded by a picturesque circle of mountains. Its territory is in prevalence mountainous and uneven because constituted from imposing bulky covered from forests in the west part and from a uniform altopiano of middle height in the east part. Numerous are the monuments present in all territory like the Church of Costantinopoli, well-known from '500, the Fontana of the Tre Cannoli, situated to the inside of the historical center, the Duomo, built in 1132 and carried to limit in 1167 from Vescovo Guglielmo that enriched it some relics of San Modestino and the Torre of the Orologio that, with its grandeur, is turned symbol of the town. As for the cusine, main nourishment of every table is the bread, considered one between the better curates products from truths and actual craftsmen of gatronomy. When think to the Campania don't forget the pasta, produced with italian hard grain and worked to hand, that represents the strong dish of the gastronomic culture of the province of Avellino. |
