In 1832 Lazzaro Jerko keened eye on the bottom of a dolina, a spring that went out from the field. In 1967 a group of young members of E. Boegan Cave Commission begun the excavations that were protracted, with various breaks, up till 1999. The cave is deep 132 metres and is characterized from wells and rooms with stalactites.
