ARGENTARTE - contemporary correspondences on Tuscan soil
July 23 - In the Fortezza Spagnola of Porto Santo Stefano, on the Promontory of Mount Argentario (Grosseto) are calles to expose their recent works four artists. |

The four artists, well-known in international field, near for generation but differentiated for artistic route and present in the specific case, an objective correlation at the territory.
The Municipal Administration has ordered the revisitation of the heraldic bearings of the four marine Rioni that those artists will interpret for the techniques and the most peculiar materials for their action, but in a common size, and that will be exposed in the general contest of the exhibition.
The idea of this singular request, is born from the ancient tradition of the Palio Marinaro of Porto Santo Stefano, that sinks the own origins in the course of the centuries: every fifteen of august in fact, four boats of the four districts, give life at a combative regatta that is disputed in the Baia del Turchese in a route of four kilometres.
It is an event that besides to recall a high numerous of tourists, involves directly all the population for every order of class and of age. It is well-known that the Argentario is an agreeable locality that lives in activity connected at the sea and at its use "induced" from the navy yard at the firm of the fish, at the tourism.
At the literary endowments of the writer Lidia Ravera were given the leave for the publication in catalogue of a story that, interlacing the personality and the work of the same artists, stablishes a kind of geographic celebration, between story and contemporaneity, with a particula attention at the visual languages and expressions of the our days.
