The exhibition privileges the florentine public collections from which arrive the mostly of the pictures exhibited. 29 works of high quality, fixed on the medicean taste during the XVII century, that reflcts the big fortune of which enjoyed the representation of floralia (from the title of the first important exhibition about the subject). The flower not only like inhabitant of the garden and coloured presence in the ancient and modern abode; but like allegory and symbol, or reproduced in didactic shape in various materials, or accessory of the female and masculine clothes, 'protagonist' of precious fabrics and ecclesiastical hangings.
The bright paintings of Carlo Dolci, Mario dei Fiori, Bartolomeo Bimbi, Margherita Caffi; the gorgeus garlands of Andrea Scacciati, Giovanni Stanchi, Nicolas Houbracken are charming message from Florence, the town of the lily, of that today the Special Supervision for the Florentine Museum Polo, promoter of the exhibition together with Arthemisia, allows the privileged vision.
