Friend Museum at Massa Marittima

Massa Marittima will be theatre of two initiatives of "Friend Museum". The first is in program saturday april 30 at 03,30pm: girls and boys of age between 10 and 12 years will be protagonists of a hunting at treasure in the galleries of the Museum of the mine of Massa Marittima (entrance Corridoni road).
Arrived the adventurous young people will be accompanied to know the secrets of the museum in gallery thanks at a didactic route guided by the staff of the Colline Metallifere Co-operative that is interested in the management of the museum. Then the start at the real hunting with the teams that will contend themselves at the last enigma the conquiste of the treasure. Remember that partecipate at this hunting at the treasure so original is free (reducted ticket to enter at the museuj), but that for organizational reason is obligatory the reservation calling at the 0566/902289. For reach the treasure the teenagers will have to answer at studied questions in way to offer at their informations about the mines and about the life of the men that in mine have worked for centuries. The winners and all the other partecipants will end this day of party at the discovery of the world of the museum with a snack.
The other appointment is in program in the next weekend (may 7 and 8). The protagonist will be the work of the senese teacher Ambrogio Lorenzetti, the famous Majesty, one of the more admired gems of the new Museum of Sacred Art of Massa Marittima.
Will speak of this work of art in a conference from the title "Ambrogio Lorenzaetti at Massa Marittima: the Majesty between art, story and religious symbology", in program saturday may 7 at 04.00pm in the ancient church of San Pietro all'Orto, now seat of the Terziere of Cittanuova, at which will take part experts at international level and the next day there will be guided visits at the work.
