Italy in Japan The 2005 will be, for the Japan, a year dedicated to the italian culture, already disembarked to Tokio in september with the Madama Batterfly for the centenary of the opera. |

| The initiative, wanted and promoted by the noted japanese daily newspaper Yomiuri Shimbum, directed by Hitoshi Uchiyama, proposed to develop the commercial relations and of cultural exchange between the two countries shared from the climate, from the natural condition and from the economical growth of the after-war. It is opened 9 and will ended 22 january, by the Tokio Dome, the Festival dedicated to the tipical products, to the tourism, to the culture and to the italian regional traditions. Of large interest will be besides the exhibition of the Satiro Danzante of Mazara del Vallo (bronze sculpture of IV century B.C. recovered in 1998,
attributed to Prassitele and recently restored), by the "PAdiglione Italia" to the inside of the Universal Exhibition 2005 of Aichi (from 25 march to 25 september 2005). |
