Robert Mapplethorpe - Between ancient and modern. An antology October 8 2005 - In Turin a big retrospective about Robert Mapplethorpe, finally recognized as one of the major american artists of the second half of the twentieth century.
About 240 photso of Mapplethorpe, of which more unpublished in Italy, will be exposed long the itinerary that crosses his artistic story with pictures, sculptures, engravings, photos, representative of masters and of different moments in the story of the arts.
In the rooms of the Palazzeo della Promotrice of the Good Arts will be exposed the works according to a chronological rule; the exhibition will be besides enriched from a wide informative material, with television documentaries, film and publications, that allow a direct knowledge of the artist and of the story of the exhibitions dedicated at him in all over the world.
