From Martini to Mitoraj. The modern sculpture in Italy 1950-2000 May 28 2005 - Collective show dedicated at the sculpture of the second half of the twentieth century prepared in superior lounge of the prestigious Palladiana Basilica in Vicenza.
After the success of the exhibitions of sculpture prepared in the last years in the Palladiana Basilica, dedicated at Luciano Minguzzi, Domenico Rambelli, Giacomo Manzù and at the modern sculpture in Italy of the first half of the twentieth century, the actual exhibition is a new occasion to get the attention of the public on the sculptural art of the most significant masters of the last century. In report of continuance with the last review dedicated at the first half of the twentieth century, the exhibition is untied through a historic route from the Fifties until thresholds of the 2000: is composed of 46 emblematic works of 27 artists (a selection between the most representative names) of public collects, foundations and private collections of artists and collectors.
The aim is to show the features and the changes of the sculpture in the fifty years aftr the world war II.
Across works of big visual impact for the notable dimensions and for the stylistics quality, the exhibition shows the formal and thematic problems confronted from the artists. It is available the technical form of the exhibition.
