On the rocky spur that entertains the Castle, 2000 years ago "lived" the fairies at which in the III century was dedicated a smal temple. "Certifies" it a walled memorial tablet in the arcade of the castle. Rised on the place of an ancient fortification, the manor-house is mentioned for the first time in a document of the 1124 in which is named Odorico di Toblino.
Subsequently the magic-religious function was replaced from that military-strategic. The castle that today is possible to admire is result of the rebuild at work of Bernardo Clesio in the XVI century: the manor-house was changed in residence of the Prices bishops of Trento and in particular of the Madruzzo. Now the castle entertains a restaurant.
