Built on ancient roman structure around 857, it has undergone different transformations according the roman style.
Toward the end of the XV century, the style of the cathedral is adapted to the archtectural canons of the epoch. In the tower overtops the statue of the Madonna with the Child masterpiece of Bartolomeo Spani.
