| Curious and traditional appointment with the celebrations of San Martino. The show has ancient origins: it is told that the custom was born from a group of men that between a glass of wine and a dish of pasta is amused to tease some passerby with ironic wisecracks on the treason. In the seventy years instead, the tradition changed and it is created a true and actual procession, enlived from some characters masked like the "horned" for excellence that pronounced this sentence: " tu puoi esse'u cchu' curnuto du' munno ma nun sarrai mai curunto comm'a mme!" ( transleted from the dialect: "you will be able to be the horned one of the world, but will not be able ever to be horned of me!"), the player and the false monk benedicente of the houses and of the country. Today finally, after the foundation of ACR (that is the Horned association Ruvianesi), the tradition expects a amusing procession with a gigant puppet from the long horn that to the conclusion of the celebrations comes burnt. In reality like initiatives develop also in a lot other italian locality, until the party of San Martino is defined from some the "italian Haloween", an occasion where story, traditions, goliarda and desire of exorcise the negativity of a fact malt and blend. But why San Martino is became protector of the betrayed? It is recounted that in this period of the year in the peasants civility, finished the works for the wine-making, important fairs of animals with the horn developed (cows, bulls, goats, rams) so that, created the connexion between the horn, symbol of the infidelity and the date of the recurrence of San Martino, he, in contrast with its ascetic life, was protector of the husbands betrayed. |
