The New Cathedral was built between the 1604 and the 1825 on the remains of the paleochristian basilica of San Pietro de Dom. The monumental facade was erected at work of the bresciani architects Giovan Battista and Antonio Marchetti while the nice cupola recalls that of S. Pietro a Roma, was erected from the milanese architect Luigi Cagnola. Indoors of the Cathedral can be admired the Sposalizio, the Visitazione and the Nascita della Vergine del Romanino and the Sacrificio of Isacco del Moretto.
