The palace was given from Filippo Maria Visconti at the Conte di Carmagnola Francesco Bussone, blamed of betrayal in 1431 was decapitated for order of the same Milan lord.
In 1494 Lodovico Il Moro ordered the reorganization of the palace, at which perhaps was present also Bramante.
