Piazza Mercanti

It is appeared on the north - west side of Duomo square, on left of Vittorio Emanuele Portico and is a wonderful example of milanese civil architecture from the Middle-age at the Seventeenth century. On this square is appeared the principal public buildings of the town age, between which Palazzo della Ragione or Broletto Nuovo and Palazzo dei Giureconsulti. From here it is possible to admire the fourteenth-century Loggia degli Osii and, near, the eighteenth-century Palazzo delle Scuole Palatine; the centre of the tower with the watch is of 1272. In the centre of the square there is the well.
