Built to start 1634 on project of the roman architect Bartolomeo Avanzini, the Palace was seat of the estence Court, but accomodeted also magistratures, offices, archives, collections of art of the Dukes. Today the building is seat of the Military Accademy, the sole italian institute that prepares the officers in permanent service of the Army.
From the Courtyard of honor, climbing the majestic Scalone, enter in the portico that introduces in the Flat of the princes, in the private Flat (seat of the historical Museum of the Accademy that reserves relics, flags, arms, pictures and uniforms) and in the Flat of State, where is possible to admire picture of Estensi and frescoes of Francesco Stringa and Marco Antonio Franceschini. The most spectacular enviroments are the wide and charm Lounge of honor and the eighteenth-century one gold small Lounge.
Guided visits one time at the month, on reservation at the advisable number, with cost of 6,00 euro for person.
