One of the most influential families of Alessandria resided for centuries in this beautiful noble mansion. Its current appearance is the result of a restyling ordered by the marquis Ludovico Guasco-Gallarato di Solero (1723-1784). At present, the western wing of the palace houses the province's administrative offices; the eastern wing, privately owned, still retains many original structures such as the atrium, the monumental staircase and the main hall.
