The entry of the castle is characterized from an arch of the 1900 year of the last restore.
The building of the Tower, principal nucleus of the Castle, is attributed to Boemondo the Norman, when he was in war with the brother Ruggero for the conquest of the Puglia and Calabria.
Belmondo Nomanno died in 1111 in Bitonto.
Around the tower there is the ancient village of San Vito.
