Certosa di Garegnano

The establishment, owing to Primate Giovanni Visconti, goes back to 1349. Of the ancient Certosa is nothing remained after the construction, occured between the sixteenth and seventeenth century. Indoors, the walls of the nave are decorated with frescos of Daniele Crespi (1629) show the stories of Certosini and of their founder S.Brunone. Attached the Certosa there is the Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta in Garegnano, work of late-renaissance of Galeazzo Alessi and Vincenzo Seregni, but ended in the seventeenth century. Is advised to respect the maximum silence for the visit of the Certosa during the religious services.
