Rose in the XI century on a preexisting basilica of the IV century. The primordial structure is distorted from numerous renaissance recreations and restores of the twentieth century.
Here was baptized Alessandro Manzoni. Noteworthy is also the column of "Leone di Porta Renza" raised from Serbelloni family in 1626.
