Chief town of province lombard, Varese was, already to beginning from '700, elected a place of vacation of noble and milanesi and lombard middle-class, destination also from the international tourism. Today the town is seat of a lot industries; modern town also in the urban appearance, thriving economically, maintains however the tourist vocation, favored also from the streets that issue themselves towards the lake Maggiore and the Ceresi and besides is place of transit also thanks to the neighborhood of the internatinal airport Malpensa. Artistic there are some important places to cite like the Sacro Monte with its varied hats and Villa Medici, structures sixteenth-century, with two flavor of arcades yards bramantesco, by Induno Olona. The varesotto presents besides a rich culinary tradition, between that the dishes "of lake", like the risotto with the persian fish of the risotto witn the eel of lake, tipycals also the "bruscitt" meat to eeds of finocchio and red wine; between the pipycal products the "sweet of Varese", the "ugly and Good and the liquor Amaretto. |
