The Palace, erected in 1218 and raised in 1306 by friar Giovanni Degli Eremitani, was the seat of the city law-court. The superior floor is occupied from one of the biggest pensile rooms of the world, the "Lounge" (81 x 27 metres), which walls are entirely frescoed with astrologic and religious subjects (1425-1440). In the room is preseerved a grant wooden horse, built for a joust in 1466. The lounge dominates the two big squares of the Erbe and of the Fruits.
