Arco di Trionfo e piazza Matteotti

Matteotti square, the which name was in origin Genova square, is result of the plain of urban development approved in 1904. Only in the twenties had the aspect that now charaterized it, with the elegant reresidentail buildings in "art nouveau" style on the north and south sides. In a corner of the square rises the Arch of Triumph built from the town in 1768 in memory of a visit in Alessandria in 1765 by King Vittorio Amedeo III and Maria Antonia Fernanda of Spain.
