Castello di Castagneto Po

The origin of the Castle is ancient, of which have proof since 1019. In the 1705 the manor-house was destroyed and the earls Trabucco made to rebuild on drawings of the architect Nicolis de Robilant and ended in the 1835 by Ernasto Melano, architect of the King of Italy. In the Castle there is a drawn arcade in the '500 style and decorated with marbles and thin engraved stones, frescos of Gonin and the Sereno, and pieces of furniture, things, pictures that make of the Castke one of the most refined abode of Europe. At the outdoor the Castle is surrended from a park of age-old threes, in which are harmoniously disposed market-gardens, orchard, wide terraces cultivate at flowers, ancient hothouses and dairy-farms. The castle can be visited only in occasion of temporary exhibitions.
