Built to begin from the 1385, the Castle was ordered at the architect Bartolino da Novara from the marquis Nicolò II. from military seat it changed during the seigniory of Borso and Ercole I in residence, to become under Ercole II (duke from the 1534 at the 1559) palace of court.
