The Certosa is located at the slope of the Maddalena mountains, in Vallo di Diano. It is one of the biggest and interesting monastery in the world from the architectonic point of view. The Certosa was founded in 1306 by Tommaso San Severino; the Certosa of San Lorenzo entertains the Archeological Museum of West Lucania and, from 1998 is World Humanity Heritage - UNESCO.
