The Sanctuary is placed at 7 kilometres from the centre of Foggia, in the wood of the Incoronata, a time game preserve of Federico II di Svevia. The present Basilica, inaugurated april 11th 1965 is built on the remains of the ancient Sanctuary, and is work of the architect Luigi Vagnetti; in the style is similar at the trulli and huts of those zones. The bell-tower, of Vignetti, is 53,70 metres high.
Indoors, besides the Corona of the diameter of 10 metres and of the weight of 40 quintal, is fostered also a crucifix of the XVII century.
