The villa in baroque style was built in 1615, for work of Ascanio Vitozzi for want to the Cardinal Maurizio di Savoia.
At the end of the Seventeenth century the villa passed in possession of Anna di Orlèans, wife of Vittorio Amedeo II: for this the villa is called "of the Queen".
Also Filippo Juvarra partecipated to the realization of the project.
The villa is surrounded from the park rich of fountains and sculptures.
