Viterbo is situated to the feet of the Muontains Cimini, surrounded from a fertile valley, in the north of the Lazio. It represents one of the most attractive zone of Italy, rich of story and of landscape, of mountain and of lakes with an appearance still savage. Ideal and inviting town for the fresh air, was the healthy refuge for a lot of Popes, that did of Viterbo the their resedence. It is presented rich of monuments among which the Large Fountain of the XIII century, Palace Farnese, the Church of San Silvestro, instead the Medieval District has a lot of architectural depositions of the XIII century, like the Palace of Alessandri, of 1200 and the Palace Papale in gotic style pf XIII century. As for the cusine are to try the Lombrichelli, the soups, the lamb and the rabbit at "cacciatora" way, let alone the fired mixed to the viterbese, while af for the sweets, choice are the english soup and the crostate and pizzas of Easter. |
