Monza between Nineteenth century andTwentieth century
 
Napoleon rouses the dispersion of part of the Cathedral's Treasure, reconverted a lot of buildings at religious character. Monza is finally declared town in 1816, takes later on at the movements of independence and sees increase the birth of new firms. In 1841, is inaugurated the Milan-Monza railway, the first built in the north Italy, and a lot of roads towards the Switzerland, that found symbols of large importance in the commercial exchanges with the Europe. It is born the first Room of the Work of Italy and king Umberto I, climbed at the regency in 1878, chooses Monza like summer and of countryside residence, lodging in the Villa Reale. On the opposite avenue the palace, july 19 1900, is killed from the anarchic Gaetano Bresci: in the place where fell, now rises his mausoleum with Expiatory Chapel, raised from the architects Sacconi and Cirilli. In honour of the queen Margherita, Monza presents a architectural liberty style, with floral motifs that refer often at the marguerite. The urban disposition changes in the fascist twenty year (Palazzo Municipale) and in 1922 is built the famous autodromo, that render Monza celebrated all over the world.

The exhibition was realized in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation of New York and The Warhol Museum of Pittsburg.
