The first core of the big castellano structure, that is in the hilly landscape, was built between the XI and the XII century bu the story of the fortress is connected at the family Castelbarco that live in it in the XIII century. Of particular importance are the "Home of the Guards", decorated with scenes of battke and the "Room of the Love", with a cycle of frescos representing polite scenes in the first half of the '300.
