Reggia di Caserta

The Park, is extended for about 120 hectares on a ground in gentle slope, open: janaury, february, november and december: 08:30am-02.30pm; march: 08:30am-04:30pm; april: 08:30am-05:00pm; may and september: 08:30am-05:30pm; june, july and august: 08:30am-06:00pm; october: 08:30am-04:30pm. The entire monumental structure is closed tuesday, janaury 1st, may 1st, december 25th, except extraordinary openings. Was erected from the king Carlo Borbone which entrusted the honorable work to the architect Luigi Vanvitelli that in 1550 begun the construction of the building which had to be the mirror of the riches and the greatness of the Naple kingdom. Indoors there is the Teatro di Corte: its portal can be opened to have, during the stage plays, the wide scenario park's vegetarion. Besides there is the Cappella Palatina as, for will of the king, the Cappella della Reggia of Versailles. In the zone of the historic flat find: Alabardieri room, Guardie del corpo room, Alessandro (Magno) room, Marte room, Astrea room, Trono room, Consilio room, various rooms of Francesco II and those of Gioacchino Murat, Pio IX chapel and the four rooms dedicated to the seasons. The 90% of the rooms can be visited. The accessibilty for disableds is guaranteed at the Museum for elevator.
