The Church was erected for will of the Prince Bishop Bernardo Clesio and accomodated numerous sessions of the Tridentino Council. Built for hand of Antonio Medaglia, the church is in white and red stone arrives from the pits of Trento and the facade is characterized from the door made to build from the Prince Bishop Cristoforo Madruzzo, surmounted from a lunette frescoed by Martin Teofilo Polacco. At its inside, are very interesting the pictures on the vault, representing some moments of the Council and the main protagonists of the Counter-signature. The bell-tower (53 metres high) is the highest of the town and is built in white limestone.
