Santuario di San Romedio

It is a most characteristic sanctuary of the Trentino for its incredible position: it is situated in top at a rocky peak almost 100 metres high. It is a complicated building, composed from five small churches superimposed of different periods and connected between them through a steep stairs. The most ancient church was erected in top at the rocky tower, where was intered, in a tomb of rock, the hermit San Romedio. The outer facade of the building is in a typical example of anaune architecture of the XVII century and from the reinassance courtyard as far as the building that since 1948 entertains a francescano convent.
