Museo della Donna was founded in 1988 by Evelyn Ortner (1944-1997), lovers collector, which the museum is dedicated. In the permanent exhibition are documented 200 years of cultural and material story from women point of view; the rule and the images of the woman in the XIX and XX century, through clothes, accessories, instruments of daily life, books, documentations.
The permanent exhibition (is renewed every four years) is assebled on three topics: beauty ideals, female rules, woman and job.
Every year are organized, in a special room, monothematic exhibitions, italians and foreigns, about female topics to deepen or consider from an other point of view the our topics of idelas, rule and images of the woman. The parking is a few minuts from the museum.
