Founded in the 1130 by Ruggero II, the Palatina Chapel is situated at the first floor of the Palace of the Norman, the imposing palace of arab origin. The Chapel has basilicale shape, the floor is at mosaic of hard stones and the walls are covered of marble with panels at mosaic. The central altar is of the 1700, in the walls of the central nave are represented episodes of the ancient Testaments, while in the lateral naves are told episodes of the Acts of the Apostles of San Pietro and Paolo. Attached at the Chapel is the Treasure, constituted from plate of silver, sacred hangings, liturgical things, urns of silver and precious caskets.
