The sanctuary is composed from two structures: one old small church dated 1540 known as Church of Padre Pio, and the new basilica dated 1956, work of Giuseppe Gentile of Campobasso.
The recentest part was built to entertain the numerous pilgrims of Padre Pio.
Indoors of the crypt there are the bare of Padre Pio.
