The Curch, dedicated at San Lorenzo, is a gothic building whose construction begun in the 1345 on an ancient romanesque church. The left side is punched from gothic windows and presents a lot inserts of various periods: the fifteenth-century pulpit from which preached San Bernardino da Siena, the door engraved by Ludovico Scalza, the bronze statue of Giulio III. The cathedral is composed from three naves of same height with imposing bases in white and red marble and presents a big circular window with the depiction of the martyrdom realized by Ludovico Caselli. The inside is of clear northern influence and is enriched from decorations and eighteenth-century stuccos, restored at half nineteenth century. From the chapel of right of the presbytery it possible to enter in the fifteenth-century sacristy, frescoed by Gian Antonio Pandolfi. Attached at the Cathedral there is the Capitulary Museum, that preserves works of art and liturgical fittings of the same Cathedral, e of other churches of the dioceses and donations.
