The Church, of imposing structure, was erected by Giovanni Pisano in the 1304. Around the 1614 collapsed voults and pillars of the nave and after the reconstruction for hand of Carlo Madeno of Rome, the church was again consecrated in the 1632. Indoors there are gothic works, renaissance windows and the monument dedicated at Pope Benedetto XI. The religious structure includes also the Archaeological Museum of the Umbria and the State Archives.
