Erected in the 1200 from the prince bishop Federico Vanga, the palace was seat of the bishops of Trento, of the Common, of the Podestà and of the Court of justice. The principal structure rises on the remains of two churches, San Giovanni Battista and San Biagio and a recent restoration has returned at the invigorated residence the aboriginal romanesque aspects of the thirteenth century. The palace, decorated of ghibelline battlement, presents on the left, the towe of the watch (Civic Tower). Today the palace entertains the prestigious Diocesan Tridentino Museum (at memory of the famous Council, 1545, 1563).
