The Pretorio Palace was built from the magistrate Pietro Speciale and the works lasted from the 1463 at the 1478. The palace has suffered various transformations in consequence of big town-planning events that changed the face of the town: was widened around the 1553, again set in the 1615 and definitively restored in the 1873-75. The principal facade presents three orders of eight windows and one of nine balcony in the noble floor, decorated with balustrade in marble, small columns and small head of lion engraved under the brackets. Under the central balcont is engraved a big eagle of marble, work of Salvatore Valenti. In top at the cornice of the principal facade there is a watch from tower arrived from Paris in the 1864, contained by Damiani in a rectangular frame of stone. In top at the building, at the four corners, there are four eagles in cement.
